AvaTrade Code 128979: What It Really Does

Every few weeks someone asks me about partner codes. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?

Nope. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code won't affect it.

The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. Nothing more complicated than that.

What's the bonus amount?

Deposit click here $1,000 and get $200.

$2,000 adds $400.

$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.

Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Not many traders reach that level.

UK accounts start at £160 for £800 deposited. Top tier reaches £11,200.

You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.

The code field isn't obvious

During registration. After you enter your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click it. The field expands. Type **128979**.

Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.

If the system rejects it, don't panic. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Request partner code 128979 be added. Standard practice for them.

You can't withdraw the bonus straight away

A trading volume condition applies.

About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.

The deposit belongs to you. Take it out anytime. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.

Something useful to understand: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. This lets you take bigger positions. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
